![]() My apologies if you're attempting to buy this near when I've posted this, since it looks like this book (first published in 1999) is between editions and isn't really available right now. As with A Fire Upon The Deep, there's so much wonderful worldbuilding, and I came to really love some of the characters. ![]() There's a lot of politics and scheming involved in this meeting between two (very) different intelligent species trying to find common ground, but fortunately it doesn't reach the levels of tediousness that Game Of Thrones sometimes did. In some ways it's somewhat similar to Children Of Time (also recommended!), a book by another author that involves some similar concepts and themes, but in many ways they're very very different. ![]() Very different from A Fire Upon The Deep, the previous book in this series (also recommended! - not necessary to read before this even though this is the sequel). ![]()
